ALEX WEEDEN

Alex Weeden was raised and reared in Ft. Worth, Texas. A ten year old Alex recalls seeing Ted Nugent on MTV one day, right when the station hit the airwaves for the first time: “I want to learn how to play the guitar!” he told his Dad that day, somewhat in jest. A few days later, Alex owned his very first guitar – a cheap Stratocaster knockoff with a beginner’s amp to go with it. He taught himself how it worked, and formed his first band, “Relay,” when he was in the 7th grade.
After honing his skills in other bands around Ft. Worth, Alex headed off to college at Texas Tech, where he majored and graduated in Restaurant and Hotel Management. Once he finished up in Lubbock, he headed to Austin, TX to pursue a shot at his dreams - career in music. Once settled in Austin, Alex joined Honeybrowne, where his duties included guitar, back-up vocals and songwriting. He is featured on several Honeybrowne recordings, including his original tracks “Easyville,” “Fall Asleep,” and “Good For Nuthin,” all on the album of the same name.

In 2005, Alex joined Texas singer songwriter Miranda Lambert as her guitar player and is still touring with her. He has beyond fulfilled his dreams as a professional musician, while she has released several critically acclaimed, platinum selling albums, and won virtually every award possible for a country artist. Alex has played the Grammy’s (three times,) Red Rocks Amphitheatre (four times,) as well as hundreds of other venues, including Madison Square Garden. Alex has toured with Miranda exclusively on countless sold out tours across the country, both as a headliner and as support for some of country’s biggest acts. As lead guitarist in her band, Alex has also performed extensively in Europe, Australia, and Canada, as well as on virtually every TV talk and awards show.
